Notes from the first two months.
I hope everyones weekend was safe and enjoyable. I myself had a most merorable time in the Tampa area for the fourth.
After spending the last thirteen days working and playing in Florida, the time had arrived for me to depart towards the north. Starting with Georgia and eventually working my way to the most northen point, Maine. Now with my batteries charged, I hit the trail with a renewed and fresh enthusiasm. Thanks goes out to my friend Yolie for her hospitality and for saving her honey do list for me. As well as being a wonderful tour guide and companion. Unfortunately for me, she is the last person I know going forward, so I plan to see many more campgrounds and cheap motels on the horizon.
I write you this post from the beautiful city of Augusta, Georgia. The great news is that I have already scored my CL gig today and will stay another day to complete it. I will write the story on my Fifty gigs page tomorrow or Friday. Then on to the state of South Carolina and the town of Columbia.
So as of today I have been on the road now for two months and a day. I have covered thirteen states and well over 3,000 miles! I have slept in...
10- Rented rooms
10- RV/ Campgrounds.
5- Truck stop parking lots.
3- Private homes.
2- Kidney stones. (Haha)
For a combined total of sixty two nights. With 37 states or more yet to come. I have to say it's all been worth it and I already have so much to remember in just a short time. Thanks to all the good people who have been so supportive in helping me stay focused and positive! From my family and friends back in Tucson, to the CL posters who have hired me, and of course all of you faithful friends who follow my adventure on line. Also thanks to my cousin Louis from Albuquerque for making it possible for me to stay in Park City and Santa Fe. And especially to three lovely ladies who have opened their heart and homes to me on my travels, my daughter Vanessa in Dallas, my friend Cathy from the 'Llorona' clan in San Antonio and my dear friend Yolanda in St Petersburg, FL.
Have a great night to all and thanks again for your time and support!
